APP-BASED PRACTICE

We are pleased to report that our ESRT app project is making significant progress with the support of the National Science Foundation i-corps innovations program. Utilizing a STEAM-based approach (Science and Technology as interpreted through Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics), our unique ESRT app will provide an interactive and personalized experience for users, and offer a variety of features to enhance ESRT practice and engagement. We are confident that this app will be a valuable tool for individuals looking to develop and maintain their ESRT practice. Stay tuned for updates on our app development progress!

In the meantime, we recommend using Insight Timer, a free app that offers a selection of recordings by ESRT instructors from the Center for Mindfulness in Surgery. These recordings can be accessed and used for home practice at any time. Listen to recordings by Salva Summer Chak and Mick Malotte.

Additionally, the Oxford Mindfulness Centre provides a wealth of guided meditation resources and other useful tools.

Other widely-known instructors that we recommend are Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Thich Nhat Hanh.
